Visability
Do you only see me when I’m Yelling
and irate! Flipping over cars and
causing destruction to your place.
Criminals and monsters full of rage. No
peace in my crying no humanity in my
face.
No cause for my frustration no real
justification. But you can see me
now! Engulfed in the fiery pit. You
can only hear me when I scream
only see me when I bust though the
front door demanding to be seen.
So, place my face on the front page
to display my rage. Market me as a
menace to society. For I stand tall in
the face on injustice. I yell for the
privilege to be heard because until
things change ill lay my body on this
pavement before I left you silence me
against my will.
Generations before me took the streets
and look how far we have come look how
far we have got with a little two
step and a quick trot. You're terrified when
I walk down the street with a purpose not
afraid to be beat. Sending your best soldiers
fully guarded by a metal sheet. You pushed me
down, but I was not broken. You choked me,
but I’m still breathing. You can’t hurt someone
with nothing to lose.
So here I stand in solidarity because you will
not silence me. It’s just too dang bad it took
tragedy to see any type of unity.
